JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Targeting new business opportunities.
  • Building and maintaining existing relationships.
  • Develop and maintain a contact and customer database within the following market segments:
  • Prepare sales appointments for the Business Development Manager, organize the sales trip in common with the Business Development Manager
  • Establish an effective sales call cycle for key customers, partners and contacts.
  • Maintain a clear line of communication on sales commitments
  • Work to achieve agreed goals and objectives.
  • Applicants must be able to communicate information and ideas clearly. They must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and be able to handle everyday situations quickly and effectively.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit is a definite asset.

APPLICABLE SKILLS

  • A minimum of two years in luxury hotel sales experience and an excellent network of contacts are required to succeed in this position.
  • Diploma or Degree in Hotel/Restaurant Management would be an asset.
  • Commitment to exceeding guest expectations.
  • Computer literate with knowledge of a variety of computer software applications, including the Microsoft Office Suite and maximize.
  • Superior written and oral communication skills – French and English mandatory.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to set priorities for self.

The Social Media Marketing Intern will focus on one or more of the following key business areas:

  • Search for news on Luxury hotel industry and starred Michelin restaurants
  • Develop and create a strong activity on social media mentioned below ( Instagram, Pin it, Linkedin, Viadeo, Xing, Twitter, Facebook )
  • Develop Vendomer communications
  • Compile and analyze program results
  • Assist with influencers & Blogger Society growth and management
  • Assist with social media communications and planning
    Research competitor and social media trends
    Participate in internal communication and sales team

The Social Media Marketing Intern must be a self-starter; possess an entrepreneurial spirit needed to work within a fast-paced, start-up environment; demonstrate maturity, poise and good humor; and have the ability to work well independently and within a team.

Additional qualifications include: Work experience or coursework focus in marketing, social media strategy or related field

Demonstrated consumer-facing writing ability
Demonstrated ability to juggle multiple priorities at once
Exceptional oral and written communication skills
Knowledge in social media and social engagement tactics
Flexibility to work on a variety of projects
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint and Word
